    Overview

Mathematical structure discovered in nature has been at core in understanding of physical phenomena. On the other hand, the research on machine learning has been evolving explosively in recent years under advances in computer science, while the connection of the machine learning to physics is yet sporadic. New area, "Foundation of "Machine Learning Physics" --- Revolutionary Transformation of Fundamental Physics by A New Field Integrating Machine Learning and Physics" established by MEXT, Japan, aims to integrate these two major fields, physics and machine learning. The research area aims bidirectionally to expand the understanding of nature using ML on one hand and to develop ML using concepts in physics on the other hand. At this conference, we wish to create a fusion among researchers of the two disciplines toward opening of a new emerging integrated field.

    Registration

    On-site Participations

Closed due to the capacity of the venue. (The number of the on-site participants is limited due to the capacity of the venue. The deadline for the registration for the on-site participants was September 30th.)

    Online Participations

Closed. International lectures and the talks at the international conference are broadcasted online via zoom. No presentation is possible for on-line participants.

    Guideline for Posters

If you like to make a poster presentation, at the registration please choose "poster presentation". Your printed poster can be put on the poster board at the venue, on the day the organizers will specify. There is no printer at the venue, so please print your poster at your institution and bring it to the venue. Also, we plan to make a gong show with 1-minute oral presentation of every poster presenter, so we will ask you to prepare some electronic file of 1-page pdf for the gong show. Details will be notified to the poster presenters.

    Information

    Venue and Access

This conference will be held at Panasonic Auditorium, Yukawa Hall, Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. Please check the "Access maps" in the YITP webpage. A network (wired/wireless) for the workshop participants is available. To connect to the network, you need authentication using the ID and the password to be announced in the congress kit. Please note that YITP takes no responsibility for any damage you might have by connecting your PC to the YITP networks. If you are using a Windows PC, we kindly ask you to install any one of Anti-Virus softwares before connecting your PC to the network. For PCs running on other operating systems (e.g. MacOS, Linux), see a leaflet "YITP Network Facilities for Workshop Participants" in your congress kit. P2P connections are prohibited. Please do not use P2P file sharing softwares while connecting the YITP network.

    Accomodation

Please make reservations of your accommodation by yourself, unless otherwise informed. You can find some information in "Accommodations" in the YITP webpage. We recommend that you will make the reservations at your earliest convenience because Kyoto will be crowded by many tourists during this season.

This conference is a "YITP workshop"

This conference is supported and co-hosted by YITP (Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics), Kyoto University.
